Description
Cad Cell also known as the photo eye, electric eye or flame sensor. This is used on all the Clean Burn model furnaces. If it does not see a flame it will shut the burner off. This protects your furnace from filling up with oil if it fails to ignite. Usually cad cell failure results in the furnace shutting down about 15 seconds after it starts. You may try cleaning the lens before replacing it.
